My mission president loves to talk about absolutes—promises from a General Authority speaking for God (Amos 3:7). The most common absolute is "will;" for example, "if you do A, then B will happen." Here is a promise by Elder Henry B. Eyring that I read this morning:
"Each time you choose to try to live more like the Savior, you will have your testimony strengthened. You will come in time to know for yourself that He is the Light of the World . . . You will reflect to others the Light of Christ in your life" (The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Light of the World; emphasis added).How awesome it that! Those are three promises that will change your life . . . and that is an absolute. I encourage you to pay attention to these promises as they come and to do what they say. Those blessings will come.
