Jesus Christ is the "Bread of Life" (John 6:25-71). I love that metaphor because it reminds me that He "is the only way to satisfy ultimate spiritual hunger," a hunger that exists in all of us (Jeffrey R. Holland).We all feel this God-given need. Throughout scriptural history, our Heavenly Father has reminded us that we need to rely on Him (Daily Bread: Pattern), but there is also a promise attached to our obedience. When we follow Him, His goodness follows us all the days of our life.
